1CAN receives $10,000 grant to help fight hunger in Cabarrus County

Food Lion funding will support the nonprofit’s efforts to provide food for local children and families during the summer months.

Cabarrus County nonprofit 1Can has received a $10,000 grant to help provide food to local children and families facing food insecurity, particularly during the summer months.

The funding comes from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation through its Summers Without Hunger grant program, which supports organizations working to increase access to nutritious food and other resources for children and families.
