At nearly 100, Emma Horton carries a century of wisdom, faith and resilience

The Kannapolis native, former Cannon Mills weaver and longtime church member will celebrate her milestone birthday surrounded by family and caregivers who have become family too.

It is often said that age brings wisdom. If that is true, then few in Cabarrus County can claim more of it than Emma Horton.

On March 23, Horton will celebrate her 100th birthday — a milestone reached with humility, faith and a life shaped by decades of work, family and quiet resilience.
