Mr. Wilson, City of Council Members and Ms. Privette Keller,
I am writing as a voter, a concerned constituent, and a taxpayer who has paid property taxes in the City of Kannapolis for nearly twenty years. The recent E. coli contamination in our water system is a serious public health issue, and the community deserves full transparency.
Residents have a right to know how E. coli entered the City of Kannapolis water supply. Specifically, I am requesting clear information on whether the contamination originated from human waste or animal waste, and what failure or breach allowed it to reach the public water system. This is not a minor matter—this is a fundamental issue of public safety, infrastructure integrity, and government accountability.
Taxpayers fund this system, and we expect timely, factual, and transparent communication. If this information is withheld, delayed, or minimized, I will have no choice but to escalate the matter publicly through social media and local news outlets to ensure the situation is fully investigated.
The residents of Kannapolis deserve answers, and we deserve them now.
