The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners voted Monday to suspend its rules and unanimously authorize Interim County Manager Kelly Sifford and Finance Director Jim Howden to begin discussions with potential lenders and the Local Government Commission (LGC) about the county’s upcoming financing needs, including new school construction and renovations.
