Cabarrus County Commissioner Larry Pittman resigning as he prepares to move

Pittman will step down Sept. 30, cutting short a four-year term that began in December 2024.

Cabarrus County Commissioner Larry Pittman is resigning from the Board of Commissioners as he prepares to move out of the county later this month.

Pittman announced on Facebook Monday night that his resignation will take effect Sept. 30, the same day he and his wife, Tammy, plan to complete their move to Pamlico County.
