Cabarrus County Schools consider limited enrollment cap as Odell campuses face severe overcrowding
A recommendation to the school board would redirect some students north of N.C. Highway 73 to Carl A. Furr Elementary until a new elementary school opens in 2028.
Cabarrus County Schools leaders are recommending a limited enrollment cap for a portion of the W.R. Odell attendance area as overcrowding at two northwest elementary campuses continues to worsen and is projected to intensify in the coming years.
