With Primary Election Day just one day away, Cabarrus County’s lone early voting site has emerged as one of the busiest in the state.

Despite operating only a single location — the Cabarrus County Board of Elections — the county recorded the second-highest turnout of any early voting site statewide, according to VoteTracker, a project of the John Locke Foundation, with data sourced from the North Carolina State Board of Elections. The site trailed only the Herbert C. Young Community Center in Cary.
