Cabarrus County's Lone Early Voting Site Ranks Second-Busiest in N.C.
The Board of Elections location drew 7,789 early voters — yet Cabarrus still trailed many of the state’s largest counties in overall turnout.
With Primary Election Day just one day away, Cabarrus County’s lone early voting site has emerged as one of the busiest in the state.
Despite operating only a single location — the Cabarrus County Board of Elections — the county recorded the second-highest turnout of any early voting site statewide, according to VoteTracker, a project of the John Locke Foundation, with data sourced from the North Carolina State Board of Elections. The site trailed only the Herbert C. Young Community Center in Cary.
