Candidate Filing Opens for 2025 Cabarrus Municipal Elections

Mayoral seats in Concord, Kannapolis, Harrisburg and Midland are up for grabs as candidate filing begins ahead of the November election.

The 2025 election season officially kicked off this morning, as candidate filing opened at 8 a.m. for municipal offices across Cabarrus County. The filing period will remain open until noon on Friday, July 18.

A number of high-profile local seats are up for grabs this November, including mayoral races in Concord, Kannapolis, and Harrisburg and Midland.
