Concord Tree Lighting Shooting Suspect Released From Hospital, Booked Into Cabarrus County Jail

Eighteen-year-old injured in the Nov. 21 downtown Concord shooting now faces felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and inciting a riot, police say.

An 18-year-old man injured in last month’s downtown Concord shooting during the city’s annual Tree Lighting ceremony has now been released from the hospital and formally booked into the Cabarrus County jail, according to a Tuesday update from the Concord Police Department.
