Four People Shot at Concord Tree Lighting Ceremony
Police say three victims are in critical condition as investigators review footage and seek witnesses.
Concord Police are investigating a shooting that occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Union Street S near Corban Avenue during the City of Concord’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Police, Concord Fire, and Cabarrus County EMS were already at the event and responded immediately, providing medical aid and evacuating attendees.
Four gunshot victims were transported to the hospital, according to a City of Concord news release. Three are in critical condition and one is in stable condition.
There is no information in the release about the status or identity of the shooter(s).
Investigators are reviewing event footage and speaking with multiple witnesses.
