Grill and Grow Together: A Concord Block Party Fueled by Faith and Community
The block party is open to all and will feature food, music, games, raffles and even baptisms.
Markee Sanders felt a divine tug at his heart about a year ago to create a space where people in the community, including the homeless and struggling families, could come together for fellowship, share a meal and feel truly seen and valued.
Sanders, who is the shelter coordinator for Opportunity House, knew he wanted to partner with the Concord chapter of Hellfighters Christian Ministries, as both organizations provide critical assistance to people experiencing homelessness.
