Steve Osborne has witnessed a lot of change over the almost 36 years he has worked for the City of Concord.

The city had a population of about 27,000 in 1989, when Osborne was hired; there are currently around 113,000 residents live in Concord.

But Osborne, 59, has been a key driving force behind much of the change, such as the downtown Concord streetscape project, as he has worked in the city’s Planning Department, including serving as the Planning & Neighborhood Development Director since 2018.
