I didn’t originally plan to write stories outside of Cabarrus County, but I’ve always had a deep love for movies — especially the kind that linger in your mind after the credits roll.

Over the years, I’ve written the occasional film review and documented the standouts on my Letterboxd account. I just saw a romantic comedy called Materialists, and it was one of those rare films that’s both genuinely fun and unexpectedly thoughtful.
