More than 70% of Kannapolis City Schools exceeded academic growth expectations during the 2025–26 school year while the district also posted gains across several tested subjects and a record number of career credentials earned by high school students.
Seven of the district’s nine schools improved their overall grade-level proficiency rates, according to new state results released this week by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
