Lori Clay Aims to Make History as Concord’s First Female Mayor
Clay emphasizes collaboration, fiscal responsibility, and respect for taxpayers as she seeks to succeed Mayor Bill Dusch.
Since Concord was founded in 1796, the city has never had a female mayor. Lori Clay is hoping to change that.
“That’s not just a missed opportunity for representation — it’s a missed opportunity for perspective,” Clay told a packed crowd of largely Republican supporters inside the Cabarrus Creamery on Friday afternoon, where she officially launched her campaign for mayor.
