Mental health simulation puts participants in the shoes of families seeking help

Cabarrus County’s second annual event will show how long waits, eligibility requirements and disconnected services can create barriers to mental health care.

When someone is experiencing a mental health crisis, finding help can sometimes become a challenge of its own.

Cabarrus County hopes to give residents a firsthand look at those barriers during its second annual Mental Health Simulation and Panel Discussion on Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cabarrus Health Alliance at Brown Mill, 526 Cabarrus Ave. W. in Concord.
