Republican U.S. Senate candidate Michael Whatley on Friday used a law-and-order campaign stop in Harrisburg to attack former Gov. Roy Cooper’s record on crime, accusing his Democratic opponent of supporting policies that allowed convicted criminals to be released early from prison.
