New GAC system comes online, strengthening Concord's drinking water
Concord's new carbon filtration system improves drinking water quality while positioning the city to meet future federal PFAS regulations.

While many city services — from trash collection to road maintenance — are easy for residents to see, some of the most essential work happens largely out of sight.
One of those behind-the-scenes responsibilities is treating drinking water. Ensuring every home and business has access to safe, clean water is among the most fundamental services any city provides.
Concord recently reached a major milestone in that effort.
