Public discusses key legislation that could impact the county during Barber-Scotia Town Hall

Several local officials attended, though all five state representatives were absent.

Public Education. Affordable Housing. Healthcare. Immigration. These were some of the key issues that were discussed during Saturday’s North Carolina Legislative Town Hall Meeting, which was held at Barber-Scotia College’s Kittie Sanson Chapel.

The event, which was organized by Community Civil Activist (CCA), a local non-partisan, non-profit organization, was open to everyone, regardless of political affiliation.
