One of Cabarrus County’s most prominent Democratic officials, Sabrina Berry, left the party and joined the GOP last week.

Berry, a former county commissioner candidate who ran for N.C. House District 82 in November and served as the 6th Congressional District Chair, felt disillusioned with her former party.
