Tied Mount Pleasant commissioner race will be decided by coin toss next week

After 120 provisional ballots were counted Friday evening by the Cabarrus County Board of Elections, the Mount Pleasant Board of Commissioners race ended in a tie — setting up a dramatic finish to the 2025 municipal elections.
