For 16 Cabarrus County households, the dream of owning a home became a reality — or moved a step closer to it — over the past fiscal year, thanks to the efforts of WeBuild Concord.

And those homes represent much more than new addresses. They account for approximately $4.2 million in new homeowner assets, while helping residents save hundreds of dollars each month in housing costs.

Those were among the accomplishments highlighted by WeBuild Concord CEO Dr. Patrick Graham during the nonprofit’s fourth annual Building a Stronger Cabarrus Breakfast Thursday morning, where community leaders and supporters gathered to celebrate the organization’s progress in expanding affordable homeownership.
