Cabarrus Health Alliance is urging residents to take precautions against mosquitoes after West Nile virus was detected in two Cabarrus County residents this month.
The virus was identified through routine blood donor screenings conducted Aug. 14 and Aug. 16, according to a Wednesday news release from CHA. The agency said West Nile virus continues to be detected in the county through ongoing surveillance efforts.
